Job Summary

The Quality Specialist I - Inspector is an entry-level role responsible for performing basic inspection tasks such as incoming and in-process verification. This position works under close supervision to ensure components and assemblies meet documented requirements.


Key Metrics and Focus Areas

  • Accuracy and timeliness of inspection documentation.
  • Adherence to inspection procedures and escalation protocols.
  • Support for incoming and in-process inspection throughput.
Requirements:
  • Perform incoming inspections of materials and components following detailed instructions.
  • Conduct in-process visual checks to verify conformance to specifications.
  • Document inspection results accurately in logs or electronic systems.
  • Identify and escalate nonconformances to senior inspectors or supervisors.
  • Comply with safety, ESD, and cleanroom requirements as applicable.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of inspection tools and workspace.
  • Perform other duties or support other areas as needed based on business requirements or production flow.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic computer literacy and ability to follow written instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to read and interpret basic work instructions and drawings.
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend English to interpret work instructions, documentation, and safety requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

*We are an ITAR Controlled Facility; all applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee. We can not sponsor visas.*

  • Experience in manufacturing or quality inspection environment.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13485, ITAR).
  • Basic knowledge of measurement tools such as calipers or micrometers.

Physical Requirements / Essential Functions

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods during inspections.
  • Manual dexterity for handling small components and tools.
  • Visual acuity for detailed inspection work.
  • Lift and move items up to 20 lbs occasionally.

Working Hours are Monday-Thursday 6 am-3:30 pm shifts of 10 hours per day.
