Job Summary

The primary responsibility of the eCommerce Marketing Specialist is to execute the day-to-day management and optimization of the companyโ€™s Shopify storefront. This role supports revenue growth through digital merchandising, product content management, conversion rate optimization (CRO), lifecycle marketing, promotional execution, and customer engagement initiatives. The eCommerce Marketing Specialist partners closely with the Digital Sales Manager and cross-functional teams to deliver a high-quality customer experience and maximize eCommerce performance.

  • Maintains Shopify product listings, collections, navigation, product categorization, tagging structures, filtering logic, and merchandising placement.
  • Creates, updates, and optimizes product page content including descriptions, specifications, imagery, FAQs, comparison content, educational resources, and selling points.
  • Develops and maintains content calendars supporting SEO initiatives, blog content, product education, resource centers, and customer engagement programs.
  • Coordinates the creation and deployment of visual content, videos, product demonstrations, installation guides, and educational materials.
  • Maintains product content accuracy and consistency through coordination with product information management (PIM) systems and internal stakeholders.
  • Supports new product introductions, seasonal campaigns, promotional launches, and merchandising initiatives across Shopify storefronts.
  • Executes conversion rate optimization (CRO) initiatives, including A/B testing of product pages, landing pages, collection pages, and customer journey experiences.
  • Maintains testing documentation, implementation records, performance reporting, and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Performs quality assurance activities related to tracking, attribution, pixels, conversion events, campaign URLs, and analytics accuracy.
  • Implements approved enhancements to product detail pages, landing pages, homepage content, navigation structures, cart experiences, and merchandising placements.
  • Builds, manages, and optimizes email and SMS marketing programs including welcome journeys, cart abandonment flows, browse abandonment campaigns, post-purchase communications, replenishment campaigns, review requests, and customer win-back initiatives.
  • Manages customer segmentation, lead capture strategies, email and SMS acquisition tactics, and lifecycle campaign performance reporting.
  • Collaborates with the Customer Experience Manager to incorporate customer feedback, review trends, and support insights into marketing communications and content improvements.
  • Supports promotional campaigns through landing page creation, merchandising updates, banner deployment, pricing updates, collection setup, and campaign readiness activities.
  • Manages organic social media activities including content creation, publishing, scheduling, and integration with broader campaign initiatives.
  • Recruits, onboards, and supports affiliate and influencer partners while maintaining related tracking, attribution, and campaign assets.
  • Coordinates creative asset development and deployment across website, email, SMS, social media, and promotional channels.
  • Documents campaign execution details, site changes, testing activities, asset usage, and post-campaign performance insights.
  • Keeps abreast of eCommerce marketing trends, Shopify capabilities, digital marketing technologies, and best practices.

Qualifications, Skills, Abilities and Educational Requirements Required
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, eCommerce, or a related field.
  • 3โ€“5 years of experience in eCommerce marketing, Shopify administration, digital merchandising, lifecycle marketing, digital content management, or related fields.
  • Handsโ€‘on experience with Shopify including product management, collections, navigation, tagging, promotions, applications, and merchandising.
  • Experience creating and managing email and SMS marketing campaigns and automated customer journeys.
  • Experience supporting conversion rate optimization (CRO) initiatives and interpreting website performance metrics.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing principles including SEO, content marketing, customer acquisition, and customer retention strategies.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to content accuracy, campaign quality, and execution excellence.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines within a fastโ€‘paced environment.

  • Experience with affiliate marketing platforms, influencer programs, and customer segmentation tools.
  • Experience with Google Analytics, Shopify reporting, email marketing platforms, and SMS marketing platforms.
