Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Inventory Manager to lead and optimize inventory operations within a fast-paced eCommerce and Third-Party Logistics (3PL) environment. This role is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, improving inventory control processes, reducing shrink, and ensuring product availability to support customer demand.

The Inventory Manager will oversee inventory staff, manage cycle count programs, analyze inventory trends and performance metrics, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure operational excellence. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and experienced in managing inventory within high-volume warehouse and fulfillment operations.

eCommerce and 3PL experience is required.


Key ResponsibilitiesInventory Control amp; Accuracy
  • Monitor inventory levels and purchasing trends to ensure optimal stock availability and inventory accuracy.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve inventory control procedures and best practices.
  • Establish and manage cycle count programs in accordance with corporate accounting and audit standards.
  • Investigate, analyze, and reconcile inventory discrepancies, including shortages, overages, and transaction variances.
  • Review inventory records, adjustments, and transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Analyze inventory data and generate actionable insights to improve inventory performance.
Warehouse Operations
  • Oversee receiving, putaway, storage, and inventory movement processes.
  • Ensure proper inventory handling and warehouse organization to maximize efficiency and accuracy.
  • Maintain a safe, secure, and compliant inventory environment.
  • Partner with warehouse leadership to support operational goals and service-level commitments.
Leadership amp; Team Management
  • Lead, coach, and develop inventory control team members.
  • Establish performance expectations and provide ongoing training and support.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and communicate findings and corrective actions.
  • Organize and facilitate shrink reduction initiatives and root-cause analysis meetings.
Reporting amp; Continuous Improvement
  • Track key inventory metrics and identify trends impacting inventory health and operational performance.
  • Prepare and present inventory reports, variance analysis, and KPI dashboards to management.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve inventory accuracy.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Finance, Purchasing, and Customer Service teams to support inventory objectives.

QualificationsRequired
  • 3+ years of experience as an Inventory Manager, Inventory Control Manager, or similar leadership role.
  • Proven experience in eCommerce fulfillment and/or 3PL warehouse operations.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management principles, cycle counting, auditing, and reconciliation processes.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis, reporting, and inventory tracking.
  • Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory management software.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds as needed.
Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Experience with multi-client 3PL operations.
  • Knowledge of inventory forecasting, demand planning, and warehouse KPI reporting.
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience is a plus.
