  • Verify item numbers, quantities, product condition, gift messages, and special instructions before packing.
  • Pack orders securely and neatly using the correct packaging materials while protecting merchandise from damage in transit.
  • Apply shipping labels and required documentation accurately and stage completed packages for carrier pickup.
  • Help the team meet same-day or next-business-day shipping expectations for orders received by established cutoff times.
Returns Gift Wrap and Customer Care
  • Prepare gift-wrapped orders and enclosures carefully and consistently with Mount Vernon's presentation standards.
  • Promptly report damaged merchandise, missing items, address concerns, or other order exceptions to the E-Commerce Fulfillment Supervisor.
Inventory and Work Area Support
  • Assist with cycle counts, stock checks, replenishment, and location maintenance as assigned.
  • Keep fulfillment stations, storage areas, supplies, and equipment clean, organized, and safe.
  • Follow procedures for handling fragile, high-value, food, and other specially designated merchandise.
Systems Safety and Teamwork
  • Use Shopify, the integrated shipping platform, scanners, and other fulfillment tools as trained.
  • Follow all standard operating procedures, safety requirements, and instructions related to order and inventory handling.
  • Communicate clearly with the E-Commerce Fulfillment Supervisor and coworkers about workload, order exceptions, supply needs, and potential delays.
  • Support peak-period priorities and other Retail or Warehouse duties as assigned based on business needs.
SCHEDULE AND EMPLOYMENT TERM
  • Seasonal position working approximately 32-40 hours per week through January 30, 2027.
  • Schedule will be based on operational needs and may include weekdays, Saturdays, and additional hours during peak sales periods.
  • Reliable attendance and schedule flexibility are essential during the holiday and post-holiday fulfillment season.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Clear and professional communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Dependable, flexible, organized, and able to maintain productivity during periods of high order volume.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Regular standing and walking with occasional sitting.
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers for picking, packing, scanning, labeling, and data entry.
