Position Overview

Calm Quest Wellness Clinic is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our dynamic team. This full-time position allows for remote work, providing flexibility while you make a meaningful impact in the mental health community. Your expertise in therapy will play a critical role in helping clients navigate through their mood disorders, enhance their emotional well-being, and foster healthier relationships.

Work Environment

As part of our outpatient office, therapists have the unique opportunity to provide care from the comfort of their own home, ensuring a work-life balance that fosters productivity and job satisfaction. Our team operates Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., allowing you to focus on client interactions during peak hours. We utilize advanced telehealth platforms to maintain effective communication and support each client's journey to wellness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess the frequency, intensity, and duration of clients' mood disorders, including depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that reflect the unique needs and goals of each client, incorporating evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
  • Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care strategies.
  • Regularly monitor client progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans to optimize outcomes.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists and other multidisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive, integrated care for clients.
  • Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in mood disorder treatments to continually enhance therapeutic strategies.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records following legal and ethical standards, ensuring compliance with professional guidelines.
  • Engage in case consultations and participate in team meetings to foster a collaborative approach to client care.
  • Act as an advocate for clients by confronting mental health stigma and working towards meeting their evolving needs.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of your work will be with individuals affected by mood disorders, including but not limited to, adults experiencing depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorders. Many of our clients may also come from vulnerable populations such as homeless individuals, refugees, or victims of domestic abuse. Your role will be pivotal in providing reassurance and guidance, enabling them to regain control of their lives and improve their mental health.

Qualifications
  • A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.
  • A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
  • You must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to cultivate trusting therapeutic relationships.
  • A non-judgmental attitude and a high level of empathy are essential in working effectively with diverse clients.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills are necessary to manage your caseload efficiently.
Preferred Experience
