We're looking for a creative and engaging Quest Instructor to develop and lead skill-building classes for adults with developmental disabilities in both campus and community settings. This role creates meaningful learning experiences that promote independence, confidence, and personal growth while encouraging participants to explore new interests and build practical life skills.

As a Quest Instructor, you'll have the opportunity to develop innovative classes, support participant success, and contribute to a dynamic vocational program that makes a lasting impact every day.

• Develop and teach engaging classes that promote independence, life skills, recreation, and personal development for adults with developmental disabilities.
• Create lesson plans and learning activities that accommodate a variety of learning styles, interests, and ability levels.
• Prepare instructional materials and coordinate supplies, transportation, and accommodations needed for successful programming.
• Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom environment that encourages participation, confidence, and personal growth.
• Generate ideas for new classes and activities based on participant interests and program needs.
• Research and develop new curriculum, submitting recommendations for program expansion and enhancement.
• Maintain organized, safe, and welcoming classroom and activity spaces.
• Accompany participants during community-based classes and activities while promoting community engagement and independence.
• Complete attendance records, progress documentation, incident reports, and other required program documentation accurately and on time.
• Participate in required trainings, department meetings, and professional development opportunities.
• Follow agency safety procedures, crisis intervention protocols, and organizational policies.
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to continuously improve participant experiences and program offerings.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Direct Support Professional (DSP) certification or ability to obtain certification within 120 days of employment.
• Experience working with adults with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Experience teaching, facilitating groups, coaching, or leading educational or recreational activities preferred.
• Ability to adapt instructional methods to accommodate varying learning styles and participant abilities.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency in writing, speaking, and understanding English.
• Proficiency in basic computer skills, including accurate typing, navigating websites, entering and recalling data, using word processors and spreadsheet software, managing emails, and utilizing electronic documentation systems.

Starting pay is $19.00-20.00 per hour
