This position is located onsite at our well-equipped rehabilitation center in the vibrant community of Charlottesville, Virginia. Physical therapists will collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals, including occupational therapists and rehabilitation nurses, to deliver integrated care. Our flexible Monday to Friday schedule allows therapists to choose their working hours to accommodate work-life balance.

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop tailored treatment plans for patients recovering from surgery, injury, or other medical conditions.
• Utilize various therapeutic techniques, such as exercise regimens, manual therapy, and therapeutic modalities to alleviate pain and enhance mobility.
• Implement and track individualized treatment programs aimed at achieving specific therapeutic goals, adjusting plans as the patient progresses.
• Document treatment sessions, patient responses, and progress in compliance with regulatory standards, ensuring accurate medical records.
• Reassess and modify treatment plans based on evaluated patient outcomes to ensure optimal recovery and well-being.
• Provide expert advice and training to patients and their families regarding the use of assistive devices and self-care techniques.
• Maintain current knowledge of best practices in physical therapy through ongoing education and participation in professional networking opportunities.

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required.
• Current State License in Physical Therapy.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey treatment plans and educate clients and their families.
• Proficiency in computer skills, including documentation and word processing, necessary for maintaining accurate records.
• A high degree of flexibility and adaptability to accommodate diverse patient needs and treatment environments.
• Previous work experience is not required; new graduates are encouraged to apply.

• Experience in outpatient, inpatient, or home health physical therapy settings can be beneficial but is not mandatory.
• Familiarity with evidence-based practices in the field of physical therapy.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative healthcare team.
