Job description

Occupational Therapist - OTR

Transform Lives as an Occupational Therapist in the Vibrant Community of Saint Paul, Minnesota

If you're an inspired and dedicated Occupational Therapist eager to assist patients in reclaiming their independence and enhancing their daily lives, this is the prime chance for you. This role will not only allow you to make impactful contributions to rehabilitation journeys but will also set the stage for your professional development in a city celebrated for its artistry, history, and vibrant culture.

We invite you to join our thriving team as a full-time, licensed OTR/L. Here, you will be part of a collaborative and forward-looking therapy squad that cherishes innovation, connection, and tangible results. Whether you are a seasoned professional or taking your first steps into your career, you will discover a fulfilling environment where your contributions matter in a city that fosters dynamic connections.

Job Responsibilities

  • Customize Treatment Plans: Assess individual patients and create tailored therapy strategies that support their functional aspirations
  • Implement Therapeutic Techniques: Apply evidence-informed methods to enhance patients' motor skills, cognitive functions, and activities of daily living
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Teams: Engage synergistically with other OTs, PTs, STs, physicians, and nurses to deliver comprehensive patient care
  • Educate Patients and Families: Provide guidance and resources to patients and their caregivers on home practices to sustain progress
  • Evaluate and Document Progress: Monitor clinical outcomes and adapt treatment plans accordingly, ensuring patients are on the right trajectory

Education Requirements

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Encouragement and support for ongoing education or post-graduate certifications

Licensure and Certifications

  • Active Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license is required
  • NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) certification is a must

Desired Skills

  • A passion for helping others achieve their highest level of independence and quality of life
  • Empathetic communication skills with patients and colleagues alike
  • Creative thinking to adapt plans to meet diverse patient needs
  • Confidence in working autonomously as well as collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team

What We Offer

  • A positive, team-oriented work atmosphere with ample growth opportunities
  • Full-time opportunities with flexible scheduling options
  • Access to mentorship and career advancement resources
  • State-of-the-art tools, facilities, and documentation systems
  • Engagement in quality improvement initiatives and innovative practices

What You Will Contribute

In this position, you will do more than treat conditions; you'll play a pivotal role in restoring routines, rebuilding self-esteem, and rekindling joy in everyday activities. With your expertise, you will guide patients through rehabilitation—whether it's helping a stroke survivor regain fine motor abilities or aiding orthopedic patients in their mobility recovery post-surgery.

This workplace thrives on depth, not shortcuts. Each patient is viewed as an individual with a unique story, and every therapy session adds to their journey of recovery. You will work closely with a team comprised of fellow therapists, medical professionals, and support staff to craft rehabilitation plans that honor each individual's strengths and aspirations.

Why Our Team and Location Will Inspire You

Our rehabilitation team cultivates a special culture here. We rally around each other, exchanging knowledge, and celebrating every success, ensuring we uplift one another in our daily endeavors. You'll find an environment where your insights are valued, your professional growth is nurtured, and your influence on patients' lives is evident each day.

The backdrop for this meaningful work is none other than Saint Paul, Minnesota, an amazing city that defies expectations. Here, you'll be greeted by scenic parks, an array of cultural festivals, and an engaging food scene that ranges from artisanal coffee shops to globally-inspired cuisines. This is a city that thrives on creativity and community, where arts, music, and sunshine mingle freely.

The ambiance of the city fosters a sense of belonging, whether you find joy in exploring local galleries, attending vibrant live performances, or simply soaking in the serenity of the Mississippi River. A community rich in history and progressive spirit exists alongside a lifestyle that encourages work-life balance, making it a stellar place to embark on your career journey.

Who You Should Be

We are searching for an individual who views occupational therapy as far more than just a job—it's a calling. We want someone who beams with joy when a patient achieves a significant milestone, whether it's a first step or a long-sought-after development in self-expression.

Whether you are an accomplished OTR/L or a recent and enthusiastic graduate, you will flourish in our environment if you bring your heart, work ethic, and humility to the table. If the prospect of merging top-tier care with a fulfilling personal life resonates with you, then you have discovered your ideal position.

Join Us in Creating Meaningful Change

This is your call to become a part of something greater than a conventional job title. In this role, your contributions will shape futures, fuel recovery journeys, and restore the joys of life. You will do this in a location known for its unique blend of dynamism and tranquility.

If you're eager to make a significant difference, nurture your professional aspirations, and embed yourself in a community that values each individual—then we are excited to welcome you into our team!
