Test and Reliability Engineer IV
Location: 515 Colorow Drive, Salt Lake City, UT 84108
Contract Duration: 12 months
Pay Rate: $70-80/hr (all-inclusive)

Position Summary
The Test and Reliability Engineer IV supports the molecular R&D project group by testing and evaluating electromechanical medical devices to identify performance limits and drive improvements across the product lifecycle. Working within test and reliability teams or cross-functional project teams, this role applies engineering expertise to conduct reliability engineering activities, solve complex problems, and ensure compliance with Quality System standards. The engineer collaborates closely with team members, leadership, and other disciplines to achieve project, departmental, and company goals.
Primary Duties
Performs all work in compliance with company policies and Quality System guidelines.
Applies engineering concepts, SOPs, and WIDs to solve difficult problems across functional groups and disciplines on issues of moderate scope and complexity.
Collaborates on teams with other engineers, receiving oversight from Senior/Principal Engineers or Managers while eligible to lead disciplines on projects; makes design and technical decisions subject to review.
Performs root cause analysis on testing failures and participates in/conducts engineering product design reviews and investigations.
Develops and maintains test protocols and plans (using Helix ALM) throughout the product lifecycle for electrical, mechanical, and electromechanical system-level testing, including Design Verification Testing (DVT) and Design Validation Testing (DVT).
Designs and develops testing for electromechanical medical devices, encompassing environmental (temperature, humidity, altitude), shock/vibration, reliability, ship, dust ingress, water ingress, and electrical/EMC/EMI testing.
Develops test fixture designs.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
B.S. in Engineering or equivalent.
10+ years of experience in engineering, with preference for testing/reliability fields.
