About Us:
Founded more than 15 years ago and headquartered in Chicago, the DV Group of financial services firms has grown to more than 450 people operating throughout North America and in Europe. Since spinning out of a large brokerage firm in 2016, DV Trading has rapidly scaled as an independent proprietary trading firm utilizing its own capital, trading strategies, and risk management methodologies to provide liquidity to worldwide financial markets and hedging opportunities to commodity producers and users. Now, DV group affiliates include two broker dealers, a cryptocurrency market making firm, and a bourgeoning investment adviser.
Responsibilities:

  • Work side by side with senior traders
  • Learn about proprietary methodologies and trading systems that support an established trading business
  • Real-time risk management in the form of trade entry and risk layoffs
  • Build and maintain trading models
  • Enhance existing trades; identify and pursue new opportunities
  • Liaise between trading group, internal company departments, and OTC relationships
  • Further responsibilities may be driven by the individual's interests and specific skills

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a trading role
  • A degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering or related field
  • Ability to work night shift
  • Strong work ethic and ability to learn quickly in a fast paced, high-pressure environment
  • Detail oriented, organized and diligent
  • Strong understanding of math, probability and statistics
  • Proficient with Excel and VBA
  • Proficient with SQL, Python, and statistical modeling; other programming experience is a plus
  • Advanced aptitude for problem solving and multitasking
