Location: Central Health Plaza 515 W 6th St Jacksonville, FL  32206

Duration: 03+ Months

  • FL-DOH-Duval County-Medical Assistants
  • WORK ENVIRONMENT:  Open workstation and clinical area
  • DRESS CODE:  Scrubs, preferably Navy Blue
  • COMPUTER SOFTWARE:  Health Management System (HMS), Microsoft Office
  • EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:  Must have Medical Assistant Certification

CANDIDATE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide direct patient care services of a medical nature in a clinical setting
  • Knowledge of basic medical terminology
  • Phlebotomy skills as well as administering IM and Subcutaneous injections
  • Ability to administer and read accurate blood pressure testing
  • Interviewing patients and obtain a complete medical history
  • Ability to keep accurate records
  • Distribute prescribed medications
  • Effective communication skills
