Welcome to Lava Island!

Lava Island is a high-energy indoor play oasis filled with trampolines, slides, foam pits, obstacle courses, and nonstop birthday parties. It's a fast-paced environment where families come to make memories-and where strong leaders set the tone for safety, hospitality, and teamwork.

As an Assistant Manager, you'll guide your team through fast-paced days, high guest expectations, and the kind of moments that make this place feel unforgettable.

Why You'll Love Working Here

  • Lead a team that brings energy, joy, and hospitality to life
  • Set the tone for culture, accountability, and guest experience
  • Be trusted as the on-duty manager for a thriving, fast-paced business
  • Grow your leadership toolkit through real responsibility and coaching
  • Clear advancement into higher leadership roles
  • Competitive pay, health benefits (medical, dental, vision), and employee discounts

What You'll Do

As an Assistant Manager, you'll oversee daily operations and lead the team on shift-focusing on safety, hospitality, and teamwork. You may specialize in one area (Cafe or Parties), but you support the whole facility as the on-site leader, working closely with the General Manager and Operations Manager to keep the park running smoothly.

Your responsibilities may include:

Lead People

  • Coach, train, and motivate team members during your shift
  • Hold the team accountable to performance expectations and hospitality standards
  • Foster a positive, safe, guest-focused culture

Run Operations

  • Serve as the Manager on Duty (MOD), often the primary leader on-site
  • Oversee all guest-facing and behind-the-scenes areas during your shift
  • Ensure safety, cleanliness, and operational flow across the park
  • Respond quickly to guest concerns and resolve issues with empathy
  • Work collaboratively with the Operations Manager and General Manager on expectations and issue escalation

Drive Results

  • Monitor team productivity and guest satisfaction
  • Execute daily checklists, performance benchmarks, and guest experience standards
  • Support food service efficiency, throughput, and accuracy
  • Assist with parties, events, and projects assigned by the General Manager

This role is active and hands-on, with a lot of movement and a wide variety of responsibilities.

Success in this role looks like leading with confidence, staying composed under pressure, and helping the team deliver a great day for families.

  • Confident supervising a team of 15+ in a fast-paced environment
  • A strong communicator who leads by example
  • Organized, steady under pressure, and adaptable
  • Hands-on-willing to jump in wherever the team needs support
  • Focused on safety, service quality, and guest satisfaction
  • Growth-minded, reliable, and team-oriented

We're looking for leaders who care about their work, their team, and the families they serve.

Your Growth Path

Assistant Manager is the starting point on our park leadership team. Growth happens when you consistently show strong performance, leadership presence, and the ability to lead a team. As you build confidence and skill, you may grow into an Operations Manager and General Manager role.

What You'll Need

  • Age 18 or older
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • ServSafe Manager Certification, or ability to complete within 30 days
  • Experience in a guest facing hospitality leadership role
  • Ability to lead large teams respectfully and confidently
  • Reliable, professional presence during high-volume shifts
  • Background check and drug screen
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Must be available evenings, weekends, and holidays
