Location: Rincon, GA
Job Type: Full-time, Exempt, 100% On-site
Annual Salary Range: $85,000 - $100,000
Reports To: Finance amp; Administration Director
Company Overview
Aertssen Logistics USA, Inc. is a fast-paced, operations-driven company where nearly 90% of our workforce comprises nonexempt, hourly team members. Headquartered in Belgium, we are part of a global organization with a diverse leadership team. We are committed to maintaining a productive, compliant, and employee-focused work environment that supports both operational excellence and team member satisfaction.

Position Summary
We seek a hands-on, resilient Human Resources Manager to lead and support all HR functions at our Savannah, Georgia, facility. The ideal candidate will have strong experience working with hourly, nonexempt populations in warehouse or industrial environments and the confidence to operate independently while partnering with a high-performing operations team.
This role requires someone who can build relationships, offer sound HR guidance, and stand firm when needed—while also understanding that not every recommendation will be adopted. To succeed here, you’ll need the presence and credibility to influence without authority, and the self-assurance to stay grounded even when priorities don’t align. If you’re energized by the challenge of shaping HR's role in a fast-moving, operations-first culture, this role offers a real opportunity to lead positive change over time.
Responsibilities
  • Partner with warehouse and operations leadership to support workforce planning, staffing, internal communications, and employee engagement strategies.
  • Manage full-cycle HR functions including recruiting, onboarding, attendance, benefits, performance management, investigations, and policy enforcement.
  • Collaborate with international leadership to align HR practices with global standards while maintaining compliance with U.S. employment laws.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws, including wage amp; hour, FMLA, ADA, and EEO requirements.
  • Lead employee relations efforts by providing coaching, conducting investigations, and resolving conflicts fairly and consistently, and with empathy.
  • Build scalable HR systems and practices for a growing organization.
  • Monitor timekeeping and attendance policies; address trends and drive corrective actions as needed.
  • Process a bi-weekly payroll with accuracy and understanding of payroll tax regulations.
  • Support training and development initiatives for hourly employees and front-line supervisors.
  • Partner with leadership on relocation services, both domestic and international
  • Maintain accurate employee records and documentation in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Champion a safety-conscious and respectful workplace culture.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (or equivalent work experience) required, Master's preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 2 years in a warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with international colleagues, especially those whose first language is not English.
  • Comfortable providing direct, well-informed HR counsel to senior leadership, even in high-pressure situations.
  • Strong business judgment and emotional intelligence, with the ability to stay calm, professional, and solutions-oriented when faced with pushback.
  • Deep knowledge of HR compliance, particularly related to nonexempt/hourly workforces.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a practical, problem-solving approach.
  • Proven ability to build relationships across all levels of an organization.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus; Dutch language skills are not required, but cultural sensitivity is essential.
  • Potential cross-country travel up to 10%.
Our Culture (Work in Progress)
At Aertssen, our motto is “People, Power, and Passion to Build On.” That’s the culture we are working toward. Today, we’re a high-output, operations-driven environment where decisions move quickly and leadership is deeply engaged in the day-to-day business.
We’re looking for an HR professional who understands how to pick their battles, communicate clearly, and lead by example. Someone who brings both backbone and humility, and who can handle ambiguity with maturity and perspective. You won’t walk into a perfect system—but you will have a chance to make a meaningful difference if you stay steady, consistent, and focused on the long game. Come grow with us!

Why Join Us?
  • Opportunity to make a real impact in a high-volume, people-centered environment.
  • Be part of a diverse, international organization with a strong operational focus.
  • Work alongside a dedicated and hardworking team that values collaboration and accountability.
