Overview

General Description of Position:

Our Pipelayers are responsible for installing underground utilities such as water, sanitary sewer and other similar utilities while working in a trench. We are looking for an individual who is efficient and comfortable being a member of a team.

Our client base includes a vast array of local municipalities, counties, the Texas Department of Transportation, private developers, and various other entities.


Responsibilities
  • Installing, repairing, and laying pipe for storm or sanitation sewers, drains, and water mains.
  • Signaling equipment operators to ensure a safe and proper excavation has been dug.
  • Cutting, aligning, and joining sections of pipe.
  • Checking slopes for conformation to requirements, using levels or lasers.
  • Maintain a professional appearance.
  • Knowledgeable about and follow the company’s safety policies and procedures as described in the company’s safety manual.

Qualifications
  • Six months of work experience in construction or related field.
  • Able to meet the physical requirements of the position which involves sitting, standing, bending, climbing, lifting up to 50 pounds, working at heights, in confined spaces and in all types of weather conditions such as rain, snow, heat, etc.
