With a strong backlog of work and continued growth, the company is seeking an experienced HVAC / Duct Superintendent to lead field operations on some of the region's most challenging and high-profile projects.

About the Position

The HVAC / Duct Superintendent will oversee all field operations related to commercial sheet metal ductwork installation, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. Working closely with Project Managers, engineers, subcontractors, and field personnel, this individual will be responsible for managing manpower, coordinating daily activities, maintaining project schedules, and resolving field issues from installation through final completion.

This position is ideal for a hands-on construction leader who excels at managing crews, interpreting drawings, and delivering technically demanding HVAC projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead field installation activities for commercial HVAC ductwork systems on large-scale construction projects.
  • Supervise sheet metal crews, subcontractors, and vendors while coordinating daily field operations.
  • Review construction drawings, shop drawings, specifications, and project schedules to effectively sequence work.
  • Ensure all installations comply with project specifications, building codes, and quality standards.
  • Partner with Project Managers, engineers, and operations leadership to maintain project schedules and productivity.
  • Monitor manpower, production rates, and labor utilization while adjusting staffing as project needs evolve.
  • Enforce OSHA regulations and company safety policies to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Identify and resolve field conflicts, design discrepancies, and installation challenges.
  • Coordinate material deliveries, inventory, and equipment needs to support uninterrupted production.
  • Conduct quality inspections and maintain high standards of workmanship throughout every phase of construction.
  • Provide regular progress updates and field reports to project leadership.
