Your Role as a Dietetic Technician:

  • Assist the Dietitian in identifying residents' dietary needs and implementing dietary programs.
  • Communicate residents' nutritional and therapeutic dietary needs with families, staff, and healthcare professionals.
  • Complete and maintain dietary assessments, care plans, and progress notes in accordance with regulations.
  • Promote a calm, supportive, and caring environment for residents and staff.
  • Follow infection control, safety, sanitation, and HIPAA guidelines.
  • Participate in in-service programs, educational opportunities, and team meetings.
  • Support the care team and perform other duties as assigned.
  • Promote dignity, comfort, and well-being.

What We're Looking For:

  • Graduate of an accredited college or university with a major in food or nutrition.
  • Current Registered Dietetic Technician (DTR) credential.
  • One year of long-term care experience preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Compassion, professionalism, and a positive attitude when working with residents and families.
  • Ability to remain calm in stressful or emotionally challenging situations.
