SoloPulse is seeking a talented Radar Signal Processing Engineer to join our dynamic and innovative organization. In this role you will have the opportunity to develop and implement advanced algorithms for radar systems contributing to the success of critical commercial defense projects. To excel in this role, you must possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of radar signal processing techniques, and a drive to continuously improve and innovate.
Responsibilities
  • Technical challenges cover a broad range of disciplines including antennas, the entire transmit and receive chain, radar system modeling, ground moving target identification, electronic warfare, maritime surveillance, image processing, algorithm development for advanced Radar image products and exploitation
  • Design, development, and analysis of radar system architectures
  • Design and implementation and testing of algorithms for detection, discrimination and tracking systems
  • Modeling and simulation of system designs to demonstrate performance metrics
  • Develop unique solutions and efficient implementations of signal processing algorithms for challenging mission applications
  • Use common industry signal processing tools such as MATLAB, Python or C++ to analyze data and generate algorithms
  • Analyze system level signal propagation, RF system performance, requirements development and review
  • Collaborate with a broad range of cross-functional teams including hardware, mechanical, software, program management, and senior leadership

Nice To Have
  • Experience with spatial array processing, beamforming and angle of arrival (AoA) algorithms
  • Experience with FMCW and automotive radar signal processing chains
  • Experience with MIMO arrays
  • Experience with adaptive and subspace estimation techniques, such as MVDR, MUSIC, and STAP
  • Experience with Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) signal processing algorithms such as backprojection, polar formatting, range migration algorithm, etc.

Qualifications
  • BS in engineering, mathematics, physics, or other related technical field (at least 2+ years experience)
  • MS in engineering, mathematics, physics, or other related technical field (0-2+ years of experience)
  • Experience in digital signal processing, radar signal processing, probability and statistics, and algorithm development.
  • Proficiency in MATLAB, working knowledge of Pyhton.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS clearance.

$90,000 - $130,000 a year
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary might vary based on work experience, education, training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in full-time offers.
