DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL (DSP)-Overnight Awake

Part-time, Hourly $21.50-$25.80/hour

Shifts Available:

  • Shift: Monday, Sunday-7PM-7AM (24 hours/week)
    Friday, Saturday, Sunday: 7PM-7AM (36 hours/week)

Our Direct Service Professionals (DSPs) are the heart of our mission, providing compassionate and individualized support.

The Role: As an Overnight Awake Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities during overnight hours within a residential program. You will help ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of the individuals we serve by providing attentive overnight supervision, hands-on support, and assistance with personal care needs as needed. This position requires a valid NYS Driver’s License for 18+ months with a clean driving history and successful completion of Brightway’s Transportation Orientation.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide overnight awake supervision and support to individuals in an adult residential setting, ensuring their safety, well-being, and comfort throughout the shift.
  • Assist with personal care needs, overnight routines, medication support, and responding appropriately to emergencies or behavioral situations as needed.
  • Complete routine safety checks, documentation, and household responsibilities to help maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment.
  • Support individuals with maintaining routines and independence while promoting dignity, respect, and a calm overnight atmosphere.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding shift updates, incidents, and important information to ensure continuity of care.
