Job description

Caregiver Services Inc., a Help at Home company, is seeking qualified care professionals to provide one-on-one support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

As a Direct Support Professional, you will help individuals remain safe, develop daily living skills, participate in their communities, and work toward greater independence.

This is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity and is not a W-2 employment position. Available assignments vary based on geographic area, client needs, contractor qualifications, and availability.

What You’ll Do

Responsibilities may vary based on the individual’s needs and support plan and may include:

  • Provide one-on-one support in the individual’s home and community
  • Assist with activities of daily living while encouraging independence
  • Provide verbal or physical prompts when appropriate
  • Support personal goals, routines, and independent living skills
  • Assist with meal planning, cooking, shopping, and light housekeeping
  • Encourage participation in recreational, social, and community activities
  • Assist with transportation to activities, appointments, or employment when authorized
  • Follow the individual’s support plan and document services provided
  • Communicate professionally with care coordinators and authorized family members
  • Maintain accurate documentation and support client health and safety

What You’ll Need

  • Active Florida CNA license or completion of at least 40 hours of Florida Home Health Aide training
  • Valid government-issued identification
  • Ability to follow individual support plans and complete required documentation
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A dependable, patient, compassionate, and professional approach
  • Ability to work independently while following established care and safety requirements

Additional credentialing, screening, or training requirements may apply before accepting an assignment.
