Job description

Sunny Sky Products is the leading manufacturer and distributor of specialty beverage concentrates and beverage enhancers. Our premium beverage products reach an array of retail customers including convenience stores, restaurants, concessions, schools, and institutional facilities. Sunny Sky's state-of-the-art manufacturing facility and corporate office is located in Houston, TX, where we produce a variety of thirst appealing beverages.

The primary role is to sell and deliver Sunny Sky products to existing customers and to expand the customer base in the Memphis, TN-Tupelo, MS and the surrounding areas. In addition, this role is responsible for providing equipment for serving our beverages and maintaining the equipment for our customers. This includes maintaining the DSD warehouse, receiving deliveries, and loading and unloading the DSD trucks. This role will be trained in all aspects of the DSD role. This includes learning all products, the Sunny Sky sales process and how to identify, open and maintain customers. The DSD sales driver must develop strong relationships with restaurants and store owners and staff.

Our WH is located in Mantachie, MS. The ideal candidate should live between Memphis, TN and Tupelo, MS.

Major Job Functions

  • Responsible for loading/unloading company vehicles to ensure inventory for delivery prepared for daily route.
  • Completes inventory count at the beginning and end of each day.
  • Receives all deliveries to the warehouse.
  • Completes assigned deliveries assigned and ensures prompt delivery of products and equipment.
  • Repairs machines as needed.
  • Performs general warehouse duties including by not limited to cleaning, organizing, rotating product, shipping and receiving of equipment, parts, and product.
  • Maintain complete, accurate written and electronic records.
  • Accept customer payments, cash/check or electronic and make daily bank deposits.
  • And other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities/Education

  • Must be self-motivated toward in-store merchandising and point of sale.
  • Expected daily to deliver products, complete and rotate account inventory, complete invoices, clean beverage machines and replace machines and promotion materials at store locations as needed.
  • Individuals in this role are provided a company vehicle, uniforms, cell phone allowance, handheld device to register all sales/services and gas card.
  • Outgoing with the ability to connect and build relationships with customers.
  • Must be able to successfully maintain customer and team relationships.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to multi-task.
  • Must be comfortable performing basic mathematical functions.
  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Satisfactorily pass forklift driving training program or demonstrate safe handling of forklift in an on-site test.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to maintain single task focus and situational awareness.
  • Must be able to move and lift to 70lbs.
  • Ability to drive 60-80% of the time.
  • Must be at least 21.
