Field Technician - Drywall Repair & Paint Focus

Las Vegas, NV (Field-Based) | Full-Time 1099 Contractor | $28-$32 per Hour

Las Vegas Remodel & Construction is a full-service general contractor specializing in high-end kitchens, bathrooms, and whole-home remodeling projects throughout the Las Vegas Valley.

We are looking for a skilled and dependable Field Technician with strong drywall repair, patching, texture, and painting experience. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in clean, precise work and understands that the final details have a major impact on the client's overall experience.

Role Overview

As a Field Technician, you will support the final stages of residential remodeling projects by completing drywall repairs, matching existing textures, performing paint touch-ups, and correcting punch-list items before project closeout.

The primary focus of this position is drywall and paint work, although the technician may occasionally assist with minor finish carpentry, fixture installation, and other project-completion tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform drywall repairs, patches, and surface corrections
  • Match existing wall and ceiling textures as closely as possible
  • Operate a texture hopper and other drywall-finishing equipment
  • Complete drywall mudding, sanding, blending, and preparation for paint
  • Perform interior paint touch-ups and minor repainting
  • Complete punch-list items during the final stage of residential remodeling projects
  • Identify and correct minor workmanship or finish deficiencies
  • Install mirrors, cabinet hardware, accessories, and light fixtures when assigned
  • Perform minor finish-carpentry work, including baseboards, door adjustments, and small cabinet corrections
  • Protect finished surfaces, occupied homes, flooring, furnishings, and client property
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Communicate clearly with project leaders regarding progress, materials, and outstanding work
  • Travel between residential jobsites throughout the Las Vegas area
  • Complete assigned work efficiently while maintaining company quality standards
Qualifications
  • At least five years of residential construction, remodeling, drywall, painting, or finish-work experience preferred
  • Demonstrated experience with drywall patching, repair, mudding, sanding, and texture matching
  • Experience with paint preparation and touch-up work
  • Ability to produce clean, professional results in finished and occupied homes
  • Basic finish-carpentry and fixture-installation experience is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
  • Dependable, communicative, and able to manage time effectively
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
  • Must own the tools necessary to complete assigned work
  • A texture hopper and basic drywall-repair tools are required
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work involving kneeling, crouching, climbing, and standing
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, but not required
Compensation & Work Structure
  • Pay: $28-$32 per hour, depending on experience
  • Classification: 1099 contractor
  • Schedule: Primarily Monday-Friday, with flexibility based on jobsite needs
  • Gas Card: Provided after 30 days
