Job description

Job Title: Estimator III
Location: Appleton, WI, Hybrid, Remote
Company: The Boldt Company – National Power & Industrial
Anticipated Salary Range: $108,000 - $143,000

At Boldt, we build more than complex projects, and we build strong relationships, great teams, and lasting impact.

As an Estimator III, you’ll play a key role in helping project teams plan, price, and deliver successful work across power generation and heavy industrial market sectors and contract delivery methods. This role supports a OneBoldt approach by developing reliable estimates, coordinating internal and external estimating resources, and helping teams make informed decisions that support project success and planned profitability.

In this role, you’ll lead and support detailed and conceptual estimating efforts, review drawings and specifications, prepare bid documents, participate in estimate presentations, manage bid solicitation, evaluate proposals, and collaborate with project teams, trade partners, owners, and design partners. You’ll also contribute to target value design, risk and opportunity reviews, cost modeling, and the transition of estimate information to project teams—bringing both technical estimating expertise and a relationship-focused mindset to the work.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $108,000 - $143,000 annually. This information reflects the anticipated base salary for this position based on current market data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual’s skills, experiences, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.

  • Five to eight years of estimating experience, estimating large power generation or heavy industrial construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of estimating processes, including labor, material, equipment, subcontracting, general conditions, requirements, insurance, fees, permits, contingencies, and scope development.
