Job Title: Commercial Drywall Project Manager

About the Opportunity:

On behalf of a well-established commercial drywall contractor based in Springfield, MA, we are seeking an experienced and driven Commercial Drywall Project Manager. This company has built a strong reputation in the Northeast for delivering high-quality commercial drywall projects on time and within budget.

This is a full-time, permanent opportunity with a growing company that values leadership, accountability, and craftsmanship. As their recruiting partner, I’m helping them identify top-tier talent for this critical role.


Position Summary:

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience managing commercial drywall projects. You’ll be responsible for overseeing all phases of drywall construction — from pre-construction through project closeout — ensuring efficiency, quality, and profitability. A strong understanding of framing and drywall systems, excellent leadership skills, and proficiency with industry software are essential.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage all aspects of commercial drywall projects.

  • Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, architects, and internal teams to ensure project requirements are met.

  • Prepare project budgets, schedules, submittals, change orders, and reports.

  • Monitor job progress, quality control, safety compliance, and profitability.

  • Resolve job site issues and conflicts promptly and effectively.

  • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with codes, specifications, and quality standards.


Qualifications:
  • Minimum 8 years of experience as a Project Manager in commercial drywall construction.

  • Proven ability to manage drywall projects from start to finish in both occupied and new construction settings.

  • Proficient in construction software tools such as On-Screen Takeoff, PlanGrid, Procore, Bluebeam, or similar.

  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Knowledge of local building codes, safety standards, and industry best practices.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred but not required.
