Job description

Drywall & Construction Laborer
Vanguard General Contracting
Annapolis, MD (jobsites throughout Anne Arundel County and nearby areas)
Full-time
**About the Role**
Vanguard General Contracting is hiring a hands-on Drywall & Construction Laborer. The core of the work is drywall (hanging, taping/finishing help, patches, and punch-out), but we need someone who can also jump on general construction and labor tasks as jobs require.
This is not a “stand around and wait” laborer job. You’ll be on real jobs with a growing local contractor that does roofing, siding, interiors, and property work.
**What You’ll Do**
- Hang drywall (walls and ceilings), including measuring, cutting, and fastening
- Taping, mudding, sanding, and finish work
- Demo, haul, clean-up, and jobsite prep
- Help with framing, insulation, trim, painting, and other interior work as needed
- Load/unload materials and keep the site organized and safe
- Work with the crew to keep jobs moving and quality high
- Other general labor and construction tasks as assigned
**What We’re Looking For**
- Drywall experience preferred (hanging is the priority); strong general labor/construction background also highly valued
- Willing and able to learn additional trades
- Physically able to lift 50–80 lbs, work on ladders/scaffolds, and be on your feet all day
- Reliable transportation to jobsites (locations change), and preferably a vehicle in which you can haul materials
- Must have a good and extensive set of tools
- Valid driver’s license preferred
- Show up on time, take pride in the work, and work well with a small crew
- OSHA 10 or similar safety training is a plus
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
**What We Offer**
- Steady work with a established local contractor
- Opportunity to pick up more skills than just drywall
- Competitive hourly pay based on experience
- Overtime when available
- Chance to grow with the company
- We are deeply interested in helping candidates grow and make more money, which is why we are looking for craftsmen who care about their work and are looking for stable, rewarding positions.
**How to Apply**
Apply through this posting or text/call with your name, experience, and when you can start.
