Job description

Drywall Foreman
Lotspeich Co. of FL, Inc. is seeking qualified Drywall Foremen in the South Florida area.
Position Requirements:
  • Minimum of three years' experience in the Installation and Supervision of Metal Framing & Drywall
  • Managing field staff to ensure quality and productivity on projects
  • Adherence to and responsibility for company safety program
  • Ability to read blueprints (ability to Layout preferred, but not required)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Must be able to read/understand blueprints and the job field kit.
  • Foreman must be able to coordinate with other trades and the GC in order to maintain the project schedule.
  • Must be able to build and maintain project labor to complete project schedule
  • Must be able to lay out the project
  • Order necessary materials from purchasing agent.
  • Hold necessary/required on-site meetings with subcontractors and in-house labor.
  • Keep all necessary job records required by Lotspeich and the customer.
  • Must be able to verify quantities and hours for labor payment.
  • Have a working relationship with other foremen / superintends of the customer and subcontractors.
  • Must be able to document the changes and send field RFI's.
  • Must be resourceful and self-reliant to overcome job site obstacles.
  • Have OSHA certification for using equipment (boom and scissor lift) or tools.
  • Must be a "competent person" for the purpose of inspecting scaffolds (OSHA certified).
  • Must have taken the OSHA 10-hour safety course.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervises field employees in the Interior Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
