We are looking for a?Drywall Subject Matter Expert (SME)?to lead our Finishing Academy and standardize our high-velocity Level 5 production process. We are seeking a master finisher who is ready to step off the stilts and into a leadership role. You will be the architect of our finishing standards. Your mission is to train BLOX operators to achieve?Level 5 perfection on a 3-day production cycle?using mechanical tools and advanced skimming techniques.


Requirements:


Job Responsibilities

  • Curriculum leadership: Lead the hands-on certification of the "BLOX 3-Day Cycle" (Bazooka, 10-12" Box, and Double-Skim).
  • Technical Instruction:?Train operators on?Hot Mud chemistry?(45/90 min) to eliminate overnight wait times.
  • Tool Management:?Oversee the maintenance and calibration of the automatic taping tool fleet (Bazookas, Boxes, Pumps).
  • Quality Assurance:?Perform final "Critical Light Audits" (5000+ Lumens) to ensure zero flashing or joint photographing.
  • Process Optimization:?Standardize mud-to-water "recipes" for every stage of the finishing process.
  • Individual Assessments: Utilize Trade Skills Matrix and assist operations leadership with assessing all operators in drywall finishing skills and behaviors.

Job Skills & Qualifications

  • 10+ Years Experience:?Mastery in high-end residential or commercial drywall finishing.
  • Mechanical Expertise:?Expert-level proficiency with?Automatic Taping Tools?(Bazooka) and?Flat Boxes.
  • Level 5 Specialist:?Proven experience with?Roller-Applied Skim Coating?and?Skimming Blades?(16" to 48").
  • Teacher’s Mindset:?Ability to break down complex manual skills into repeatable steps for new trainees.
  • Tech-Forward:?Comfortable using dustless power sanding systems (Planex/Mirka).
