Position Purpose

Support the packaging of metered dose inhalation (MDI) products in a cGMP-regulated pharmaceutical environment by operating, cleaning, and maintaining packaging equipment to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient production.


Key Responsibilities
  • Operate pharmaceutical packaging equipment to achieve maximum output with minimal rejection, meeting all quality standards.

  • Perform and document batch-to-batch and product-to-product machine and area cleaning; execute line clearances before starting packaging activities.

  • Conduct routine equipment checks, basic preventive maintenance, and assist with troubleshooting.

  • Verify and apply status labeling at all stages of the packing line; ensure all equipment calibrations are completed and documented.

  • Follow cGMP, SOPs, and safety procedures; wear prescribed PPE and adhere to OSHA requirements.

  • Work both independently and collaboratively; accurately complete all required production records.

  • Assist in training other team members as needed; support continuous operations by flexing to extended hours when necessary.

  • Maintain full compliance and report any operational issues promptly to leadership.


Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required); technical certificate or degree preferred.

  • Minimum 1 year of packaging operations experience (pharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing preferred).

  • Hands-on experience working under cGMP standards and following SOPs.

  • Proficient in the safe use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including respirators.

  • Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of equipment operation.

  • Strong organizational skills; ability to follow verbal/written instructions.

  • Proficient English (speaking, reading, writing) for documentation and work instructions.

  • OSHA safety knowledge and good documentation practices preferred.


Physical Requirements
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 25 lbs; occasional lifting up to 50 lbs with assistance or mechanical aid.

  • Ability to wear all required PPE, including respirators.


Work Environment
