Job description

New Tech Global is currently seeking a Shipping and Receiving Packager for a client in Houston, TX.
Overview

  • Package product, parts, or pallets that are scheduled to ship on the run
  • Responsible for unloading and offloading the Houston Run Truck
  • Check off checklist of incoming and outgoing material
  • Coordinate all jobs that require additional shipment to outside service vendors and/or customers, either using the local Truck or hiring a hot shot
  • Coordinate pick up/drop off and deliveries of gauges, inserts, machinery, etc. along with tool room request
  • Coordinates with the Shipping Clerk to ship completed jobs to customers using the truck for all local runs
  • Coordinates and dispatches the local Houston truck driver
  • On call responsibilities
  • Follow the company's safety program requirements
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Applicable inspection and test equipment designated by the inspection, measuring, and test equipment work instruction(s)

Qualifications
  • Previous warehouse or packing working experience
  • Ability to read, write, and understand verbal and written instructions
  • Ability to perform job duties within 90 days of hire
  • Must have a valid driver's license and a clean MVR
