Outside Plant Construction Tech I - located in Mannford, OK.

Job Summary and Objectives:
Construction Technician I is an entry-level position for individuals beginning a career in telecommunications construction. This role is focused on learning core skills and assisting with construction tasks, including drop plow operations, utility spotting, and supporting aerial or underground installation work. The Tech I works under close supervision and is responsible for maintaining accurate field documentation.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Assist in drop plow operations for customer service drops.
  • Learn to climb poles safely and effectively.
  • Operate or assist with smaller construction machinery.
  • Spot existing utility lines and ensure safe digging practices.
  • Maintain and submit daily job site paperwork and documentation.
  • Load, organize, and maintain tools and materials.
  • Participate in safety meetings and follow all safety guidelines.
  • Some travel may be required.
  • Spot Utility lines.
  • Complete paperwork.
  • Operate Bucket Truck.
  • Operate drop plow.
  • Operate/Assist operation of smaller machines.
  • Providing excellent customer service by following the company's customer service standards. Ownership, Professionalism, Troubleshooting, keeping customers informed,and providing customerswith an experience beyond their expectations.

Supervisor Responsibilities:
No supervisory responsibilities.

Competencies:

  • Willingness to learn telecom construction methods.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

Certification/License Requirements:
Valid driver's license required and DOT medical card preferred.

Work Environment:
Outdoor job site conditions, exposed to temperature extremes and construction equipment.

Education:
High school diploma or GED preferred.

This position is Safety Sensitive under the Oklahoma medical marijuana law.


Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of management based on the needs of the business.
