Description

Working with an inter-disciplinary team of therapists, case managers, medical, and direct care staff, the Day Habilitation Developmental Specialist supports the goals and aspirations of individuals with developmental and other disabilities. The Day Habilitation Specialist plans and conducts a variety of functional and therapeutic groups, activities, and classes focused on skill acquisition, physical therapy, motor skills, social skills, and overall quality of life.  You must have one year experience with the developmentally disabled population.

Qualifications

One year experience with the developmentally disabled or disabled population.

Acceptable background check including criminal history background check.

Valid drivers' license, satisfactory driving record, 1 years of driving experience in a United States, and a minimum age of 19.

For many programs, a Registry of Motor Vehicle driving record check will occur prior to hire. The results of this background check will be evaluated on an individual basis. Those with an unacceptable driving record will not be offered employment. Each employee's driving record will be evaluated on an annual basis. If the annual check reveals an unacceptable driving record, it will be grounds for disciplinary action, up to and including, termination of employment.
