Job Summary:
We're looking for a highly dependable individual, familiar with common rental store items, to work in our rental department. The Rental Associate is responsible for coordinating and maintaining all activities of the rental department. Qualified candidates must be able to perform the following tasks with little or no supervision.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain customer relationships.
  • Answer incoming phone calls and provide rental rates and quotes.
  • Check rentals in and out each day and maintain contract files and rental reservations.
  • Write rental contracts on a PC program.
  • Schedule pick-up and/or delivery of rental equipment and load/unload equipment. 
Qualifications:
  • Able to work a flexible schedule to support business needs, including nights and weekends.
  • Superior organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong computer skills and ability to learn computer-based concepts quickly.
  • Capable of handling multiple tasks at one time.
  • Good driving record, some delivery and pick-ups 
  • Engage in discussions with customers related to the proper equipment based on customers’ needs.
  • Knowledge of, or be able to learn about all rental equipment, including operation, application, capabilities, and limitations.
  • Knowledge of routine maintenance and troubleshooting requirements of all rental equipment.
  • Aptitude/general knowledge of small engines.
  • Ability to perform light tune-ups, oil changes, and small parts replacement on rental equipment.
