Architectural Fabrication (Arch-Fab) is a leading B2B manufacturer of aluminum shade and architectural products for the commercial construction industry. This role supports our entire brand portfolio, including our primary turnkey business, Architectural Fabrication, and our growing distribution channel, Alumination Architectural Products.

Position Summary

The purpose of this position is to create design models and documents for clients, fabrication, and construction. You will be responsible for creating detailed drawings and managing design responsibilities throughout the project timeline to ensure accuracy and timeliness.




Key Responsibilities
  • Creating detailed submittal and fabrication drawings of products using parts and assemblies modeled in SolidWorks.

  • Creating bills of material (BOM).

  • Managing the design responsibilities through the entirety of a project timeline.

  • Working closely with project managers to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of deliverables.

  • Collaborating with the engineering department.

  • Consulting with construction and fabrication departments about drawings.

  • Assisting design team members on projects as needed and performing other related duties.




Required Qualifications & Experience
  • Two years of professional experience with 3D CAD involving custom models and fabrication drawings (SolidWorks preferred).

  • One year of 3D CAD post-secondary education (SolidWorks preferred).

  • Knowledge of advanced drafting principles and ability to manage multiple projects and tasks.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to focus for extended periods.

  • Ability to be productive, efficient, and consistently provide high-quality work.

  • Ability to learn and follow company design processes.

  • Ability to visit fabrication shop as needed wearing proper PPE.

  • Preferred: CSWA/CSWP Certification and knowledge of Bluebeam Revu, Salesforce, or DriveWorks.
