Job description

We are seeking a Driver to join our team! You will collect and transport medical waste from assigned medical centers as well as related clinics and deliver the waste to an assigned disposal facility.
​Responsibilities:

  • Load and unload vehicle
  • Inspect and monitor delivery vehicle
  • Complete manifests
  • Manage assigned routes ensuring customers’ waste is picked up in a timely and accurate manner
  • Pick up and transport waste safely according to all federal, state, and local rules and regulations
  • Pick up specified waste from each customer site scheduled for the day
  • Assist in gathering, labeling, auditing, and proper shipping of assigned customer facilities waste
  • Ensure that customers have packaged and prepared the waste according to all federal, state, and local rules and regulations before transporting
  • Other Duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Experience in delivery driving, customer service, or other related fields
  • Experience in materials handling, hazmat, or medical technician a plus
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to handle physical workload
  • Deadline-oriented
  • Education equivalent to graduation from high school
  • Previous route management experience is a plus
  • Maintain current required driver's license, with an excellent driving record
  • Demonstrate good computer skills and knowledge of internet
  • Must be able to exert up to 150 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 60 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, push or pull carts weighing as much as 500 pounds
  • CDL A or B is a plus
  • Subject to initial and random drug and alcohol testing
