Job description

Goodwill Industries of Greater Cleveland and East Central Ohio is seeking a full-time Parenting Skill Instructor/Family Coach to join our team.

As a Perenting Skill Instructor/Family Coach, you will teach parenting skills and appropriate decision-making techniques to individuals who are at risk of or have previously lost custody of their child.

Depending on the family's needs, the services will be provided in a classroom setting and at home. The individual should receive consistent guidance, direction, and support that correlate with their court-ordered case plan, program goals, and necessary lifestyle changes to promote a functional family unit.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Education, Child Development, or 5 years of experience working with families and children.
  • A certificate in First Aid and CPR is required and will be provided by the agency.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and automotive insurance. Must regularly provide the agency with proof of valid automotive insurance.
  • Travel within communities served.
  • Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the position, including but not limited to inside, sedentary work; constant bilateral reaching at all levels; constant handling/fingering; fine finger for computer operation and writing; frequently stand, sit, and
