Summary

We are seeking a Customer Service Associate and Assistant Bookkeeper to join our team at Shenandoah Sand, Inc. This role is essential in providing excellent customer service, maintaining accurate financial records, and contributing to the overall efficiency of our operations.


Responsibilities

  • Answer phones
  • Greet customers and process sales
  • Assist with dispatching of drivers
  • Assist with daily bookkeeping tasks including data entry of paper ticket sales and record keeping
  • Manage accounts receivable and payables; follow up on any outstanding balances
  • Utilize QuickBooks, MS Excel, MS Word and other software
  • Develop in-depth product knowledge and provide accurate information to customers
  • Reconcile drawer / Prepare Deposits / Mark Invoices Paid
  • Draft & Revise Forms / Prepare & Submit Estimates/ Respond to Customers / File / Light Cleaning


Requirements

  • Proven experience with professional and personable customer service.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Ability to understand and articulate information about our products to customers.
  • Ability to gather information for deliveries and draft estimates.
  • Must excel working autonomously and in a team setting.
  • Experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks is preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with basic accounting principles and practices.
  • Utilize an adding machine and perform basic arithmetic, particularly percentages.
  • Must work some Saturdays (scheduled in advance).
