Highland Care Center is currently searching for a dedicated Transportation Driver to join our team!

The Transportation Aide/Van Driver will transport residents to appointments, various individual and group activities.
**Daily Pay Available**
Driver Responsibilities:
  • Provide primarily medically necessary transportation in an efficient, cost-effective manner to safely meet residents' needs in compliance with federal, state and local requirements.
  • Safely secure residents' wheelchairs to restraining devices to stabilize wheelchairs during trip.
  • Report resident medical issues in timely manner.
  • Implement transportation schedule and notify nursing and Unit managers of schedule conflicts and/or issues.
  • Notify supervisor when equipment in need of maintenance or repair.
  • Notify supervisor when there are unresolved conflicts with scheduling.
  • Cleaning the interior of the van on a regular basis, assuring the vehicle is presentable for the transport of residents.
  • Responsible for ensuring that patients are supervised; safety is maintained at all times; and patients are treated with respect and dignity.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Driver Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • CNA (required in some states)
  • Must have a valid state drivers' license.
  • Proof of Insurance.
  • Must have satisfactory, safe driving record.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.

Physical Demands
  • Required to stand, walk, use hands or fingers, reach with hands and arms, feel, see, talk and hear. Employee may be required at times to push/pull residents in wheelchairs weighing between 100-300 lbs, including assisting ambulatory residents with entering/exiting the vehicle.
