Being a Sunshine Rides Professional Driver

As a Professional Driver with Sunshine Rides, you will provide safe, reliable and compassionate transportation to individuals who need assistance traveling for healthcare, work, pleasure and more. You will be responsible for ensuring passengersโ€™ comfort and safety and providing an enjoyable and professional passenger experience. You will play a critical role in providing essential services to our community. We are looking for individuals who share our commitment to respect, care and customer satisfaction.

Professional Driver- Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle position adds the loading, unloading and special care for riders in wheelchairs. The wheelchair vehicles are minivans with an easy-to-use low rear ramp, making loading and unloading easier and safer. Professional Drivers must take additional care to drive smoothly for these passengers.

Responsibilities

Performing rides that are shown on a company tablet

Ensuring passenger and vehicle safety

Providing superb customer service, including opening doors, assisting passengers in and out of the vehicle, loading belongings, accompanying passenger to door if needed

Proudly representing the company to the public

Inspecting vehicle at the beginning of every shift

Cleaning the vehicle at the end of every shift

Immediately reporting any incidents or accidents

Qualifications

A love of customer service

Safe, professional driving skills with good driving record

25 years of age

3 years driving experience

Valid Colorado driver license

Ability to pass a drug test

No major driving violations last 5 years

No major criminal offenses

Work Schedule

Each team member works (3) 12-hour days and (1) 6-hour day

Team members may switch shifts

Compensation

$41,600 to $52,000

Pay includes base and bonuses for safety, service and professionalism

SIGN ON BONUS of $1,500 ($750 paid after 30 days, $750 paid after 60 days)

Paid Sick and Vacation Time Off

Paid Sick Time Off- accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked up to 48 hours, can use up to 48 hours per calendar year.

Paid Vacation Time Off- after 1 year of service, accrued at .01917 hours per hour worked up to 40 hours, can use all hours in a calendar year.
