An ideal candidate would also have had experience driving on the airport ramp with a SIDA badge (green with a yellow stripe). Based on performance, after 90 days the company can provide in-house training to obtain a CDL 'B' at no cost to you and become a Driver earning $25.00/h.SkyChefs is best known as one of the world's largest airline catering and hospitality companies, for over 75 years. Driver Helper

The Driver Helper is responsible for assisting Driver with catering aircraft and transporting / delivering carts with meals and beverages to assigned flights at Chicago OHare airport. (S)he is expected to work in tandem with the Driver, to provide excellent customer service to our airline customers in a timely, responsible and safe manner. The Driver Helper is responsible for guiding the truck Driver on the airport ramp to reach the assigned aircraft following all safety and security procedures. They also assist the Driver with loading and unloading equipment into the warehouse and aircraft.

Job Requirements / Responsibilities

Assist Airline Catering Truck Driver in catering aircraft.

Guide Driver to aircraft safely and accurately obeying all rules and procedures.

Perform quality checks on all assigned flights

Add or subtract meals for assigned flights

Other duties as assigned.

Our Employees Must Be Able to:

Have a good driving record; demonstrate ability to drive safely and responsibly.
Work assigned schedule which may include nights, weekends and holidays.
Work overtime when required.
Must have valid drivers license and ability to obtain SIDA badge with Hologram.
Speak and understand English proficiently.

This position works in varied and seasonally extreme temperature environments
This position requires physical activity - walking, bending, lifting and pushing 50+ lbs.
