You will be responsible for improving our residents experience and maintaining a safe, clean, and healthy environment. Your focus will be the basic quality-of-life for our residents, so duties such as recording vitals, providing ambulatory assistance, and seeing to hygiene needs will be key in the individualized care.

Bus Driver/Activity Aide's day-to-day will include:

  • Arrange transportation. Drive the facility bus to transport residents to and from appointments when necessary.
  • Must comlete pre-inspections before use of vehicle.
  • Must be able to monitor regular maintenance (oil changes, tire rotations, tire pressure, fueling etc.)
  • Provide assistance to residents including but limited to boarding and leaving the bus, securing wheelchairs and walkers, and is responsible for residents safety at all times.
  • Ability to safely unload and transport residents.
  • Assist in organizing, implementing and evaluating the life enrichment programs of the health campus.
  • Must maintain confidentiality of all information as stated in our campuses HIPPA policy.
  • Make routine visits to residents and provide assistance with crafts, projects, etc., as necessary. Assist bed residents by visiting with them, writing letters, running errands, etc., as necessary.
  • Ensure that all charted life enrichment activity progress notes are informative and descriptive of the services provided and of the resident’s response to the service.
  • Must perform prociciently in all competency areas including but not limited to patient rights, safety, and sanitation.
  • Must understand and follow company policies including harassment and compliance procedures.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining a schedule of life enrichment activities. Assist in scheduling movies, planning parties, and providing games/activities for the residents. Encourage residents to participate in hobbies and crafts. Provide material as necessary.
  • Greets and assists all internal and external customers, guests, family members, residents, vendors and team members.

What we are looking for:

  • Strong interpersonal skills, especially when it comes to delivering sensitive information to patients and/or families.
  • Valid Drivers License or valid commercial driver's license in current state, as applicable, with satisfactory driving record per Spring Mill Helath Campus standards.
  • Must be alert and attentive to detail while maintaining a positive attitude toward residents.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Dependable attendanc
  • Experience as a bus/van driver preferred but no required.
  • Possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel.
  • Be able to make independent decisions concerning above job duties.
  • Possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family member, visitors, government agencies/personnel, vendors, and the general public.
  • Be knowledgeable of activity practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care.

Schedule needs:

  • 6 or 8 hour shifts
  • PT day/evening shift availability
  • Rotating Holiday Schedule
  • Weekends
