Campus Driver/Expeditor
Position Summary
This position executes tasks and duties in support of campus activities and provides transportation services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Run errands for Facilities Management and Services;
  • Deliver, setup, breakdown and return tables and chairs for campus functions;
  • Campus-wide distribution of newspapers and supplies;
  • Special mailing pick-ups and deliveries;
  • Special transportation requests;
  • Provide assistance to the grounds crew when needed.

Required Qualifications
Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
The ability to read and interpret work orders is required. The incumbent must have a good driving record, the ability to drive a truck with a manual transmission, be able to safely navigate Atlanta streets, follow directions, and read a map.
The incumbent must be able to effectively communicate with students, staff, faculty, the general public and other constituencies of the College.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience driving vans or trucks preferred.
Computer skills are not required.

Current valid Georgia Driver's License required.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: drive and/or ride in a vehicle, use hands to lift or move or carry items, talk, and hear. The employee is frequently required to: walk, stand, reach with hands and arms, and climb or balance. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and maneuver up to 100 pounds with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include ability to adjust focus.
