Job description

Bus Driver

Position: Bus Driver

Hours: 8 hours per day 5 days per week 10 months

Salary: $25.54 + per hour

Requirements: Ability to obtain CDL Class B driver's license with passenger and school bus endorsements with current school bus physical. (Bloomington Schools will assist)

All Bus Drivers start out as Casual employees until a route is assigned.

Job Description

Insure the safety, welfare, and appropriate conduct of passengers on the vehicle

Operate the vehicle with care to ensure efficiency

Conduct a complete daily pre-trip inspection of the bus and any special equipment

Keep the inside of the bus clean and free of debris

Ability to drive your route in any bus as directed by Dispatch

Able to read maps and or follow driving directions

Follow route copies precisely

Report on time for all assigned duties

Deliver outstanding service to: Students Parents School staff Transportation co-workers Law enforcement officials

Show courteous behavior to driving public

Follow operational procedures in emergency situations

Be aware of these procedures and participate in safety events or evacuation drills

Complete required paperwork and submit in a timely manner

Participate in ongoing training and attend annual evaluations

Must ensure that all rules, laws, and policies set by Minnesota Department of Transportation and the Bloomington School District are strictly adhered to

Experience: Previous working with children a plus

Hours: 4+ hrs. per day/ split shift, 5 days per week, 10 months a year
