Job Description
Position Title: Warehouse Assistant / Material Driver
Company: Cornerstone Services, LLC
Reports to: Warehouse Manager
FLSA Status: Full Time Hourly, Non-Exempt

Position Summary
The Warehouse Assistant / Material Driver supports warehouse operations by receiving, organizing, and delivering construction materials, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently. This position assists with inventory control, warehouse organization, and material deliveries to construction job sites and vendor locations throughout the Omaha Metro area, Central and Eastern Nebraska, and Western Iowa.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Follow all company safety standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Receive, inspect, organize, stock, load, and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Deliver materials, tools, and equipment to construction job sites and pick up or return vendor-supplied materials as directed.
  • Maintain warehouse organization, cleanliness, inventory, and storage areas.
  • Assist with tracking company tools, equipment, and safety supply inventory.
  • Inspect company vehicles and report maintenance or safety concerns.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to learn quickly, communicate effectively, and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to safely operate pickup trucks and box trucks; mechanical aptitude preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and pre-employment drug test.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age (per company vehicle insurance policy requirements) and have reliable transportation.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred but not required.

Education/Experience

  • Regularly required to lift, carry, push, and pull materials, tools, and equipment weighing up to 75 pounds; occasionally lift or move items weighing more than 75 pounds with assistance.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb (including climbing up and down on loading docks, climbing in and out of box trucks and trailers, and climbing warehouse racking) throughout the workday.
  • Regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate tools, controls, and equipment, and to reach with hands and arms.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while driving company vehicles for local deliveries.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus, particularly for safe vehicle operation and material handling.
  • Manual dexterity and physical stamina sufficient to perform repetitive loading, unloading, and material-handling tasks throughout an 8-plus hour shift.

Work Environment
  • Work is performed both in a warehouse setting and outdoors at construction job sites; exposure to varying and sometimes extreme temperatures, precipitation, wind, dust, and uneven or unpaved terrain should be expected.
  • Regular exposure to moving mechanical equipment, forklifts, hand and power tools, and warehouse/loading dock activity.
  • Noise level in the work environment ranges from moderate (warehouse) to elevated (job sites, loading docks, vehicle operation).
  • Regular local travel by company vehicle (pickup truck or box truck) to job sites and vendor locations across the Omaha Metro area, Central and Eastern Nebraska, and Western Iowa; may involve driving in varied weather and traffic conditions.
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE), such as gloves, safety footwear, and high-visibility apparel, is required in designated areas.
