How much do driveaway jobs pay per year?

As of Jun 24, 2026, the average yearly pay for driveaway in the United States is $393,215.00, according to ZipRecruiter salary data. Most workers in this role earn between $400,000.00 and $400,000.00 per year, depending on experience, location, and employer.

What jobs make 5000 a week without a degree?

Driveaway jobs, such as long-haul truck driving or specialized vehicle transport, can pay $5,000 or more weekly for experienced drivers with commercial licenses. These roles often require driving skills, a clean driving record, and sometimes additional certifications, but typically do not require a college degree. High earnings are usually associated with overtime, bonuses, or working in high-demand regions.

What is a Driveaway job?

A Driveaway job involves transporting vehicles from one location to another, typically for dealerships, leasing companies, or manufacturers. Drivers are usually independent contractors who deliver cars, trucks, or RVs without hauling them on a trailer. Instead, they drive the vehicles themselves to their destination. These jobs often require a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and sometimes a commercial driver's license (CDL) for larger vehicles. Driveaway drivers enjoy flexible schedules and the opportunity to travel while earning income.

How much can you make with auto driveaway?

Driveaway jobs typically pay between $0.30 and $0.50 per mile, with some positions offering flat rates or hourly wages. Earnings depend on factors such as distance, experience, and the company, with drivers often working flexible schedules to maximize income.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the Driveaway position, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Driveaway driver, you need a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and familiarity with long-distance and commercial vehicle transport. Knowledge of GPS navigation, online dispatch systems, and electronic logs is often required, and some employers may prefer or require a CDL for specific vehicles. Reliability, time management, and professional communication skills help set top performers apart. These abilities ensure vehicles are delivered safely and efficiently while meeting customer expectations and logistical deadlines.

What are the requirements to be a driveaway driver?

Driveaway drivers typically need a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and good driving skills. Some companies may require a background check, insurance coverage, and the ability to follow specific routes or schedules. Physical fitness and flexibility to handle vehicle transfers are also important.

What are the typical working conditions and schedule like for a Driveaway driver?

Driveaway drivers often experience varied schedules that depend on client needs and route lengths, which can include long hours on the road and occasional overnight stays. The role is generally independent, as you may be dispatched solo to pick up and deliver vehicles across different states or regions. While this offers flexibility and autonomy, it also means adapting to changing routes, weather conditions, and tight deadlines. Drivers typically coordinate with dispatch teams and customers to ensure vehicles are transported safely and on schedule. This position is ideal for those who enjoy travel and seek a dynamic work environment with minimal office time.

What jobs pay 2000 a day?

Driveaway jobs typically do not pay $2000 a day; they usually offer per-job or hourly rates that are significantly lower. High-paying jobs that can reach $2000 daily often include specialized roles such as commercial pilots, certain consulting or freelance positions, or high-level sales and executive roles, which require specific skills, experience, and certifications.
