ATC Driveaway & Transport, with over 20 years of experience in nationwide vehicle transport, is looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to support our daily operations. This entry-level role focuses on clerical tasks, processing driver payments and settlements, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with issue resolution. The ideal candidate is organized, reliable, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with Accounting tasks, including daily driver payment and settlement processing
- Investigate and help resolve payment discrepancies
- Maintain accurate financial and compliance records, and occupational accident coverage records
- Process settlements and bulk invoicing in QuickBooks
- Perform data entry and general clerical support
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Basic understanding of clerical or administrative work
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to organize tasks and manage time effectively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar software
- Willingness to learn accounting software; QuickBooks preferred
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or equivalent vocational training preferred
- 1-2 years of related clerical or accounting experience preferred
Work Environment:
Equipment Operated: Standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, etc.
Work Environment: Position is in a well-lit, temperature-controlled office environment. Typically, Monday through Friday workweeks. Occasional evening and weekend work could be necessary.
Mental/Physical Requirements: Involves sitting approximately 90 percent of the day for long periods of time, walking or standing the remainder. Involves long periods of looking at a backlit computer monitor, concentrating and paying attention to details.
