Summary

This position is an integral part of the Leasing Team and is responsible for performing on-site property tasks required to prepare homes for leasing and monitor vacant properties. This Leasing-focused Property Inspector serves as the field representative responsible for property readiness, installing showing technology, completing property condition checks, and ensuring homes are properly prepared for marketing and prospective tenant showings.

This is a field-based role that involves traveling between residential properties each day, independently managing a daily route, using mobile apps and property management software, and safely operating a Company vehicle while representing RENOSY by Renters Warehouse in the field. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and takes pride in being the trusted eyes and ears of the company at each property.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct on-site property visits to verify property readiness for marketing and leasing.
  • Install and manage showing technology, including lockboxes and showing devices to facilitate self-showings.
  • Place and maintain yard signage and marketing materials at listed properties.
  • Perform property condition checks and document findings with photos and notes.
  • Complete routine vacant property checks to ensure security and report maintenance or safety concerns.
  • Verify property details and ensure listing accuracy prior to marketing and tenant showings.
  • Coordinate with the Leasing Team regarding property readiness, updates, and field observations.
  • Report maintenance concerns or property issues observed during inspections to the appropriate internal teams.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and inspection reports using company software and mobile applications.
  • Safely operate a Company vehicle while traveling between properties throughout the service area.

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.


Education / Experience

  • High School Diploma, GED
  • 1–2 years of experience in residential real estate, construction, or a related field requiring independent, self-directed work.
  • Real estate license not required, but a license is considered a plus (dues paid by the Company).

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear, be in the field most of the day, and sit at a desk working on a computer. The employee frequently is required to walk for multiple hours a day, climb flights of stairs and drive a vehicle when out in the field. The employee is occasionally required to use hands to handle, or touch objects, tools, or controls when out in the field. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

Work Environment

Location: 95% Field Work with some meetings in Office


Travel Requirements: 95% of travel required in a 50–100-mile radius around Houston, Texas.
