Ardurra is looking to hire an experienced Senior Water/Wastewater Treatment Engineer to join our team in our Phoenix, AZ office!

Our work ranges from drinking water supply to water reuse and wastewater management. We have the capability to support projects of all sizes within a flexible and innovative team environment.

Primary Function:

This position is responsible for planning, designing, and managing multidisciplinary projects related to water and wastewater treatment for municipal and institutional clients in the region. The individual will serve as a subject matter expert on these projects, handling the technical design requirements necessary for treatment systems, and ensuring their efficiency, sustainability, and adherence to environmental regulations.

The role involves applying advanced engineering techniques and analysis to develop effective solutions, as well as communicating effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Additionally, the position includes managing and providing technical leadership on wastewater treatment projects, which encompass process engineering, treatment facilities planning and design, and related infrastructure.

The role will develop and assist with the preparation of statements of qualifications and proposals, interact with and be responsive to client’s needs.

Primary Duties:

  • Provide technical leadership to design consultants to complete detailed and permitted construction plans
  • Provide technical leadership for design and optimization of water and wastewater treatment processes, including physical, chemical, and biological treatment systems.
  • Lead the process design in feasibility studies and facility plans.
  • Lead the development of calculations, drawings, and specifications for complex wastewater treatment upgrades.
  • Support client service managers and business development efforts, serving as a technical subject matter expert at in-person and virtual meetings and project interviews. Participate in project pursuits and interviews, including developing treatment process innovations, technical approaches, and scope items.
  • Develop scope and budget for new project opportunities.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to colleagues interested in water and wastewater treatment project work.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required
  • Professional Engineer (PE) in Arizona
  • 10+ years of experience in water/wastewater treatment
