About the role
The Solutions Engineer - Directional Drilling guides customers through the successful implementation, adoption, and optimization of Corva's Directional Drilling solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of directional drilling operations, both on-site and remote, to support users effectively. The SE collaborates closely with Operations, Engineering, and Development teams, ensuring seamless onboarding, training, and ongoing success with Corva's Directional Drilling Suite. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, technically skilled, and passionate about delivering customer satisfaction and value. This position reports to the Solutions Engineering Lead.
What you'll do
  • Ensure customers successfully implement and adopt Corva's Directional Drilling solutions, optimizing their operations.
  • Work closely with customers to understand their workflows, challenges, and technical requirements to tailor Corva solutions to their needs.
  • Provide training and hands-on support to users, ensuring proficiency in Corva's Directional Drilling Suite.
  • Document customer requirements, feedback, and best practices to enhance the platform and inform product development.
  • Lead and facilitate training workshops for customers and internal teams on new Directional Drilling technologies.
  • Develop and maintain timelines and project documentation for onboarding and rollout phases.
  • Capture meeting notes, discussions, and feedback from customers, proactively communicating insights to Operations, Engineering, Sales, and Development teams.
  • Contribute to customer success assets such as case studies, training manuals, and app documentation.
  • Utilize analytics to track customer engagement, identify areas for improvement, and enhance user experience.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot customer issues, ensuring timely resolution and a high level of satisfaction.
  • Track customer health metrics, including platform usage, NPS, and NSAT ratings, to drive adoption and retention.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of on-site Directional Drilling experience.
  • 2+ years of Remote Directional Drilling experience in a Real-Time Operations Center (RTOC).
  • Hands-on experience implementing and utilizing new Directional Drilling technologies.
  • Strong technical and customer service skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts effectively.
  • Ability to train and mentor customers and internal teams on drilling technology and software applications.
  • Experience documenting user requirements and rolling out new software solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience navigating modern software platforms.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant industry software.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 50% of the time.
