International Drilling Equipment is seeking a Territory Manager to join our team.
In this job, the territory manager is the pipeline of all new business which comes to IDE. The sales and service delivery model is what sustains and supports the employees of IDE. The area sales manager will ensure current customers have the right products and services, identify new markets and customer leads, and pitch prospective customers. In many ways, the face of the company, the area sales manager will do everything from monitoring the competition to helping collect payments, all while maintaining good customer relations and pursuing new sales opportunities.

Primary job responsibilities:
  • Generating new sales and revenue by using resources to research untapped market sectors
  • Manage and maintain existing customer relations by constant contact/communication.

Efficiently managing assigned Sales Areas including:
  • Qualifying prospects, handling minor grievances, helping collect payments, be liaison to the parts and service department for the clients
  • Monitor and be cost-conscious of traveling expenses for the region
  • Participate in Trade Shows and conferences
  • Maintain a log of activity, call reporting system and/or CRM for assigned region
  • Responsible for learning and increasing product knowledge thru job site visits. IDE class opportunities, and traveling with other IDE personal
  • Offer and represent all product lines carried by IDE in assigned region
  • Develop a traveling agenda that allows personal interaction with each client at least once a quarter..
  • Compliance in a timely manner with any management-requested information. Help develop a sales forecast and status of offers/deals tracking database.
  • Follow all IDE policies and procedures
  • Participate in Sales Development seminars once a year

Serve as a Brand Ambassador for IDE and its suppliers Arranging and Scheduling Sales Trip for the purpose and goal of:
  1. Obtain new sales leads and opportunities
  2. Provide and market information on IDE services and product lines
  3. Introduce new innovations to clients
  4. Help provide solutions based on IDE resources that can be supplied to clients

Growing Region Revenue by:
  1. Researching and making cold calls to new prospects.
  2. Following up on leads.
  3. Closing Deals
  4. Understanding and investigating client's needs and challenges
  5. Researching clients' current equipment and tooling status

Increase Product Knowledge:
  1. Visit Job Sites
  2. Take notes and ask questions during traveling opportunities with other IDE personnel or conference calls.
  3. Attend training sessions, be prepared, and be attentive
  4. Understand where to find the answer and do the research prior to asking for an answer

Job Requisites:
The individual in this position should be personable, a problem solver, self-motivated, take initiative, a leader of people, ethical, intelligent, and able to adapt to all of the forces around them - customers, suppliers, department employees, co-workers, and manufacturers employees
Education/Training/Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent. 1-2 years of sales experience in a similar industry.
Skills:
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Excellent personnel relation skills.
  • Good computer and systems knowledge including Microsoft Office programs.
  • Ability to manage multiple customer data, and priorities and develop relationships with internal, potential, and external customers as well as manufacturer's representatives
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic understanding of systems such as recordkeeping and filing
  • Ability to work independently

Physical Requirements:
  • Use of hands, fingers and wrists frequently
  • Daily work behind an office desk, use of computer and telephone work
  • Onsite visits to clients which may require physically inspecting job sites to determine client needs.
  • May need to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally

Work Hours and Environment:
  • Office environment occasionally, frequent travel exposure, to weather and elements at client sites. Remote work and frequent travel.

Benefits:
IDE offers a competitive benefits package for full-time employees. You will be eligible to enroll after 90 days of employment. This package includes health/vision/dental insurance, 401K with matching, and paid company holidays and paid PTO/sick time. More information about our benefits will be provided in the offer letter.
