Job description

Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find a motivated and versatile Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician II in Canton, GA. In this dynamic and growth-oriented role, you will be responsible for taking ownership of preventive maintenance for a leader in high-quality surface manufacturing and working closely with production teams to improve equipment reliability. In a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician II job youโ€™ll be responsible for:
  • Leading and organizing mechanical and electrical preventive maintenance (PM) tasks to reduce downtime.
  • Troubleshooting and repairing complex systems, including 480V equipment, control panels, and drive systems.
  • Assisting with the installation and commissioning of motors, VFDs, sensors, and machine control systems.
  • Diagnosing issues in PLC-controlled machinery and assisting with program interpretation.
  • Fabricating, welding, and assembling mechanical parts and structural components.
  • Performing general facility repairs, including basic HVAC, plumbing, and drywall.
  • Coordinating with engineering and external vendors to source replacement parts and technical support.
What youโ€™ll need:
  • 1โ€“2+ years of hands-on experience in industrial maintenance.
  • Solid knowledge of electrical systems (12V to 480V circuits) and the ability to read electrical schematics.
  • Familiarity with PLC systems and automation equipment troubleshooting.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent (technical or vocational training is preferred).
  • Physical ability to routinely lift 75 pounds and navigate around large manufacturing equipment.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship.
