Job description

We are looking for a motivated and engaged team member to join our growing organization. The Drawer Box Assembler is responsible for assembling drawer boxes used in cabinet manufacturing according to work orders, specifications, and quality standards. This position requires attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining high quality and safety standards. Some responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Follow all workplace safety rules and use required personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Assemble drawer boxes using wood components, hardware, and fasteners according to specifications
  • Read and follow work orders, drawings, and assembly instructions
  • Operate hand tools, pneumatic tools, and small assembly equipment safely and efficiently
  • Ensure drawer boxes meet quality, dimension, and finish standards
  • Inspect assembled drawer boxes for defects, fit, and accuracy
  • Perform minor adjustments or rework as needed to meet quality requirements
  • Meet production standards for output, quality, and efficiency
  • Communicate issues with materials, hardware, or processes to supervisors
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to read basic measurements and use measuring tools
  • Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Dependable, punctual, and quality-focused

Job Qualifications and Education

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, expediting, production control, or cabinet industry preferred
  • Knowledge of cabinet manufacturing processes, materials, and construction methods a plus

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach, for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50?75lbs occasionally
  • Exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures typical of a manufacturing environment
  • Use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
